Iris
These iris grew from bulbs I dug up at Grandma's house before we turned it over to new owners. I planted them under a tree that was a memorial to our kitty Barbaloot, so I think of the area as a little memorial garden. The flowers looked so lovely at sunset the other day, so this seemed a fitting photo for today.

Hiya, and welcome! I know that with the proliferation of social media, it's not like the olden days of blogging, when we all spent loads of time hanging out in each other's comment boxes. And I know it's a drag to type anything more than a quick sentence on a smart phone. So THANK YOU for taking the time to say something here (and for visiting in the first place). I will always respond to you directly via email, if you supply an address.

Those are beautiful Irises, are they perfumed? My Irises are very tall in bud this year and I don't think I have ever had so many buds on them. I hope that they wait until I get home from Scotland before blooming. They smell delicious and I must look like a demented, white haired gnome with my nose in the flowers...
